11 Years After the Virginia Tech Shooting Leaves 32 Dead: We Remember
Eleven years ago today, in one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history, 32 people died after being gunned down on the campus of Virginia Tech by Seung Hui Cho, a student at the college who later committed suicide.
Tomorrow will mark 11 years. Once again, it lands on a Monday. 11 years ago tonight the families of the victims of Virginia Tech massacre didn't know that this would be their last night alive 💔 https://t.co/ikt8JnPlEP

The killings occurred in two separate attacks on the campus in Blacksburg, Va. The first took place around 7:15 a.m. when two people were shot and killed in a dormitory. More than two and a half hours later, 31 others, including the gunman, were shot and killed across campus in a classroom building, where some of the doors had been chained. Victims were found in different locations around the building.

Virginia Tech provides a website, with information about online resources, latest news and events, information about the April 16 Memorial they hold, but most importantly it provides information about the 32 students and faculty members who were tragically taken from their loved ones and our community on April 16, 2007.

This day will always hit my heart hard. I saw a fellow #Hokie this weekend and we hugged and talked about “it” coming up. The “it” is the anniversary of a senseless act that changed a college, a town, and a nation. #neVerforgeT #VTWeRemember 🧡❤️ https://t.co/3eIcAqakDV

11 years ago, 33 people were slaughtered on Virginia Tech's campus. 11 years of repeated shootings and still not an ounce of sensible gun reform. #DefundTheNRA https://t.co/cqjx2OygTI
