“13 Reasons Why” Renewed for Season 3 on Netflix
’13 Reasons Why,’ based on the book by Jay Asher, has been renewed for a third season on Netflix. Earlier today, a YouTube clip surfaced the web, showing an opening locker and the number three. The season premiere is set to be sometime in 2019.
The Series follows the suicide of Hannah Baker, a student who left tapes to her classmates explaining the 13 reasons why she took her own life. The second season, released in early May, focuses on a lawsuit and trail her parents had filed against the school district. The show has broadcasted Hannah as a narrator in both seasons, however the second has featured her peers telling their stories a bit more.
Details about the new season are still in the works, but viewers won’t see much of Hannah Baker around. Katherine Langford, who plays Hannah, indicated she will not be returning for a third season. Langford reported to E-News that her character’s impact has been so strong, that she think’s Baker’s presence will be felt, even if she isn’t seen.
The new season, will begin production later into 2018. Selena Gomez, and the 5 other executive producers will also be returning to the project. It will be 13 episodes.
