Rosenstein Secretly Recording President Trump?
The New York Times recently released an article, ‘Rod Rosenstein Suggested Secretly Recording Trump and Discussed 25th Amendment.’
Those that do not know who Rod Rosenstein is, he is United States Deputy Attorney General. He was nominated by Donald Trump in 2017 and then was confirmed by the Senate on April 2017. He is was involved in overseeing the Russian Investigation and also played part in the dismissal of then FBI Director, James Comey.
In the New York Times article, Rosenstein states that he suggested to record President Trump to expose the mayhem in the White House. Now does it sound like the Opt-Ed by the anonymous person from the White House wrote?
Is there any talk of invoking the 25th Amendment? When this article was published, there was talks of recruitment; however, after this article was published, Rosenstein stated this:
“The New York Times’s story is inaccurate and factually incorrect,” Rosenstein said. “I will not further comment on a story based on anonymous sources who are obviously biased against the department and are advancing their own personal agenda. But let me be clear about this: Based on my personal dealings with the president, there is no basis to invoke the 25th Amendment.”
Rosenstein in a second statement stated this: “I never pursued or authorized recording the president and any suggestion that I have ever advocated for the removal of the President is absolutely false.”
