Ringo Starr All-Starr Band Celebrates 30 Years This Summer

Ringo Starr will be on tour with his All-Starr band this summer, the 30th anniversary of his outfit’s start in 1989. This time out, they have the honor of playing in Roanoke, Virginia this summer at the Berglund Center.

Band members include Toto guitarist/singer Steve Lukather, former Journey keyboard/singer Gregg Rolie, Men at Work singer/guitarist Colin Hay, Average White Band bassist/singer Hamish Stuart, and drummer Gregg Bissonette.  The unique and diverse band thrives on creative cooperation.

Not only will this tour mark the band’s 30th year together, but Starr will celebrate his 79th birthday in July,  continuing to do what he loves.

Starr is nine-time GRAMMY Award winner, along with being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, as both a Beatle and solo artist. And of course, he’s now Sir Ringo, being knighted in March of last year.
