Fatalities Reported After Van Hits Crowd in Münster Germany

A vehicle has reportedly slammed into a crowd of people in the German city of Muenster, killing three people and leaving 20 others injured with many in critical condition, police have reported.

Authorities confirmed the perpetrator shot and killed himself after the attack and said police are not pursuing other suspects.

Sources out of Germany are stating that this is being treated as a deliberate attack on the people of Münster.

BBC reported “a suspicious object was found in the van but did not specify what it was. Police spokesman Andreas Bode said it was still too early call this an attack but the investigation is going in that direction.”

Muenster is a small city in western Germany about 270 miles west of Berlin, where 12 people were killed in in an attack of this same manner on December 19th, 2016.
