Autumn Miller: 2019 in Music
2019 seems like it’s going to be the year of tours. Some of my favorite artist s are going back on the road and they are something I am really looking forward to in the new year. The three things I am excited for in 2019 is The 1975, Jesse Rutherford and LANY’s tour.
Jesse Rutherford is the lead singer of the alternative rock band The Neighbourhood. He has released several songs and an album & under his solo moniker The Factoury. The Factoury is more alternative SoundCloud rap as opposed to the The Neighbourhood’s alternative rock.
Jesse decided he wanted to go on his own tour and perform The Factoury live. I plan on seeing Jesse on April 20th in Atlanta, me and four of my friends are making a day trip out of it. Being able to travel for shows and see the country is just an added bonus on top of seeing artist that I love.
Only a little over two weeks later, LANY is performing in Cincinnati on May 6th. The first time I saw LANY was in 2017 on May 8th in Cincinnati at the 20th Century Theater. The venue was pretty small, and the show was a lot more intimate. I’m glad I had the opportunity to see them in such a small setting but I am excited to see them in a larger venue where they can express their artistry. LANY shows are known for their bright visuals and performance that can catch your heart.
Right after the LANY show in Cincinnati I am meeting up with two of my best friends to camp for six nights in anticipation for The 1975.
Ever since we saw The 1975 for the first time in 2016 we have always camped out for their shows. It’s part of the experience of a 1975 show and it’s a tradition for us. This is going to be the first tour The 1975 has been on since they started the new era and they will also be touring two new albums.
The combination of the new music and new era will be an unforgettable experience.
