Barack Obama Urges Young Americans to Head to the Polls This November
With a little less than three weeks left until the 2018 Midterms, the drive to get eligible voters to the polls is in full effect.
On Wednesday, former president, Barack Obama, was featured in a video by ATTN, where he tackled 7 common excuses people use on not voting. Obama insists that young Americans have the chance to see its most diverse Congress if they take the time to get out and vote this November.

One of the most widely used excuses is “my vote doesn’t matter.” The former president’s response is one that might make a few people feel silly. “When it comes to something like ‘Dancing with the Stars’, people actually think their votes matter,” he joked. “But a vote in this November’s election actually does matter.”
The 2018 Midterms will take place on Tuesday, November 6 and it’s a chance for young Americans, in particular, to help make a difference. “You wouldn’t let your grandparents pick your playlist,” Obama said in the video. “Why would you let them pick your representative who’s going to determine your future?”
