Ben and Jerry’s Announces New Trump-Inspired Ice Cream Flavor
Ben and Jerry’s is no stranger to the world of activism. The four-decade-old company is often transparent with their beliefs and initiatives.
On Tuesday, the company announced that they are launching a new President Trump inspired flavor, Pecan Resist, to promote activism in the United States.
Pecan Resist is made with a chocolate ice cream base, white and dark fudge chunks, pecans, walnuts, and fudge-covered almonds. The colorful pint was created by artist and activist Favianna Rodriquez.

In a statement on Tuesday, Ben and Jerry’s said: “The company cannot be silent in the face of President Trump’s policies that attack and attempt to roll back decades of progress on racial and gender equity, climate change, LGBTQ rights and refugee and immigrant rights – all issues that have been at the core of the company’s social mission for 40 years.”
According to their website, the company believes that we can peacefully resist what they describe as regressive and discriminatory policies presented by the Trump administration. The company sees a future that “values inclusivity, equality, and justice for people of color, women, the LGBTQ community, refugees, and immigrants.”
The new flavor launch will support four organizations: Color of Change, Honor the Earth, Neta, and the Women’s March, all of which are working through peaceful resistance. Each organization will receive $25,000 on behalf of Ben and Jerry’s to put towards their efforts.
