California Man Arrested with AR-15 After Threats to Shoot Up College

A 27-year-old man was arrested in Norco, Calif. after authorities were alerted to threats he made on social media to shoot up a local college campus. Authorities did not name the school, but the Riverside Press-Enterprise reported that Riverside Community College District police were involved in the investigation.

Jacob McBain was arrested on suspicion of making terrorist threats and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to information from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators said the threats came from McBain’s Facebook page and were deemed credible. At the time of arrest, deputies discovered a loaded AR-15, two loaded handguns, and a large amount of ammunition, according officials.
