Chris Brown Arrested After Florida Concert
Chris Brown was arrested Thursday night in Palm Beach, Florida, where he was performing as part of his nationwide tour, Heartbreak on a Full Moon. The singer was arrested on an outstanding out-of-county warrant from last year, moments after wrapping up his concert.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office declined to provide additional details; however, Brown was booked and released about an hour after he posted $2,000 bail.
The warrant was for felony battery and was issued in April 2017. At the time of the incident, police said Brown allegedly punched a 29-year-old club photographer. This isn’t the first time Brown has been accused of an alleged assault; in 2013 — Brown and his bodyguard were arrested and charged with felony assault after an alleged altercation outside a hotel in Washington, D.C. The charge was reduced to a misdemeanor in court the next day, and Brown was released from jail without bail.
Brown has had numerous run-ins with the law over the years — known for assaulting Rihanna, his then-girlfriend, in 2009, for which he received probation and community service.
After his arrest, Brown shared a photo from the stage on Instagram. The R&B singer’s next tour date is scheduled for July 15 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
