Cristiano Ronaldo Leaving Real Madrid for Juventus

Multiple reports are confirming that Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is joining Italian giants Juventus after the two clubs agreed to a €100m (roughly $117 million) transfer deal.

The move, which Ronaldo hinted at earlier this year following Real Madrid’s third consecutive Champions League victory, will alter the face of both Spanish and Italian club soccer.

Ronaldo has played at Madrid for the last nine years — following six with Manchester United — and has won four Champions League titles overall, two league championships, two Spanish Cups and three Fifa Club World Cups. He also collected four Ballon d’Or (given to the best player in Europe) four times.

He will be joining a Juventus team that has won the past seven Serie A titles in a row, but have failed to breakthrough and win the Champions League since 1995. They will look to Ronaldo to bring the most coveted title in European football back to Turin.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid will certainly look to bring in a superstar to fill Ronaldo’s boots, possibly Neymar or Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Ronaldo holds the world’s most popular Facebook account, with an astonishing 122 million followers.
