Northeastern University To Give Echo Dots To Students

This fall, Northeastern University is giving students the option of receiving an Echo Dot that can answer questions about student life at the college.

The Echo Dots will be customized with an Alexa skill, designed by tech startup n-Powered, that will allow students to ask basic questions, such as their class schedule, how much money they have on their food cards, or how much they owe for tuition, according to Fortune.

Northeastern is hoping the introduction of the Echo Dots will reduce the amount of questions it routinely gets from students, in turn decreasing the time students would have to wait on hold for answers.

N-Powered also plans on offering similar skills to other universities.
