Ex-Oregon St. Student Arrested (Again) for Threats Against School

A former Oregon State University (OSU) student — who was arrested Tuesday on charges of posting threats to carry out a shooting at the school — was sentenced to jail time and probation for the same crime last year.

22-year-old Christopher Strahan was arrested by Oregon State Police after connecting him to a Twitter account with a series of tweets threatening violence. He is accused of first-degree disorderly conduct.

A year ago, Strahan was found guilty of second-degree disorderly conduct for circulating a shooting threat. He did 20 days in jail and was handed three years of probation.

According to Oregon Live, Strahan “pleaded not guilty Wednesday to his latest charges of first- and second-degree disorderly conduct, and menacing. He remains held in the Benton County Jail on $100,000 bail.Circuit Court Judge David Connell ordered Strahan to avoid the Oregon State campus, its students and employees, all weapons, alcohol and social media, if he is released from jail.”

Strahan apparently was a student at OSU until last March.
