Ex-Trump Advisor Un-Shockingly Says Something Racist
During a heated debate during a Fox and Friends segment, moderated by Ed Henry, ex-trump advisor David Bossie said something he should have.
This seems to be a trend with those around the Trump administration and campaign. The debate was between David Bossie and democratic strategist Joel Payne. They were discussing a Twitter post made by former CIA director Micheal Hayden. Hayden posted a photo of Auschwitz, this photo was to reference how atrocious the recently ended trump policy of separating immigrant families at the border was. See the post below.
As they discussing Payne said “That liberal Michael Hayden, that screaming liberal Michael Hayden.”
Bossie’s response was to tell Payne that he was “out of [his] cotton-picking mind.”
Payne responded by saying that he had relatives that picked cotton and he would not be disrespected on television by Bossie and then they cut to commercial. After commercial Ed Henry says that he doesn’t know what Bossie meant by the comment and it obviously offended Payne and many others. A Fox News representative released a statement with a similar sentiment.
Bossie himself took to Twitter to offer his apologies.
Bossie’s apology sounds more like I am sorry that I said something racist and people called me out on it. I thought it would be okay becuase of the countries current climate. I applaud Joel Payne for his professionalism
