Florida Security Guard that went Viral for Fart Videos Fired Immediately

Over the course of six months, a Florida security guard documented his activity at work. That does not sound too suspicious as what comes to mind is a log book of some sort, but that is not the case. In the case of the person who the internet has dubbed as “Paul Flart,” this security guard was publically logging his farts at work on Instagram.

The hospital security guard, whose real name is Doug, started the job after moving from New Jersey to help his mother after his father passed away. In an interview with Vice, Doug found that he had a lot of free time on the job. “The lobby has really great acoustics, and naturally, we all fart,” he told Vice.

Doug first posted on Instagram on March 25, 2018, drawing a small crowd of 500 followers. In August, his account blew up after someone compiled his videos and shared them on social media sites. Doug’s followers grew exponentially from 500 to 5,000.

Unfortunately for Doug, his fame did not come without a price, and he was fired from his job. Of course, he caught the whole thing on film.
