Iceland Legalizes Equal Pay

Women are here for you, 2018.

On the first day of the year, Iceland became the first-ever country to make it illegal for men to make more money than women.

This law comes after years of debate over the wage gap and why it exists. It states that any company or government agency with 25 or more employees must have government approved equal pay policies, or a fine will be given.
