Ivanka Trump Stands By Her Father’s Denials

In an interview with NBC News that aired Monday, Ivanka Trump was asked if she believes the women who have accused her father, President Donald Trump, of sexual harassment and assault.

BBC News reported that Ivanka replied, “I believe my father, I know my father,” and asked the interviewer if she would ask the same question to other, lower-profile women. “I think it is a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when he has affirmatively stated that there is no truth to it,” she stated.

Several women have accused the President of harassment and assault (including his first wife, Ivana Trump), but he has denied all allegations. During the election, he threatened to sue his accusers, but no lawsuits have yet been reported or announced.

Ivanka has been on a diplomatic trip to South Korea in recent days. She represented the U.S. at the Winter Olympic closing ceremonies on Sunday and had dinner with South Korean President Moon Jae-in at his official residence, the Blue House, in Seoul.

According to The Associated Press, Trump told Moon that she would use her time in the country to persuade North Korea to halt its nuclear program.
