Nikon Brings Back the Nikon Storytellers Scholarship for Aspiring Content Creators

Nikon is most known for their cameras and digital imaging technology, as of recently Nikon is now seen as a scholarship resource. Last year Nikon provided 10, $10,000 scholarships to students pursuing creative degrees and they received over 1,000 submissions. On January 29th Nikon announced that they are bringing the “Nikon Storytellers Scholarship” back for the second year in a row, continuing their commitment to education.

The Storytellers Scholarship is available to undergrad and grad students in the United States and Canada who are pursuing creative careers. These can be students working towards visual arts, fine arts, journalism, film, photography, and multimedia/content creation degrees. Storytellers are able to get recognized for their work and be able to fund the education they need to continue working towards their goals.

The application process happens in three steps. The first one being a more general application including academic and professional references. The next step happens when students are selected to be a semi-finalist. Students then submit an original piece that is evaluated by a committee of professionals. This year students are asked to showcase what “Capture Tomorrow” means. The last step is that the 10 selected creators are awarded the $10,000 scholarship for the 2019-2020 school year.
