Demi Lovato Recovering After Emergency Hospitalization
A spokesperson for singer Demi Lovato says the singer is awake and recovering after being rushed to a Los Angeles area hospital yesterday afternoon.
According to the Associated Press, an official statement read: “Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support. Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”
TMZ and other outlets are reported yesterday that Lovato has been transported to a Los Angeles area hospital after being treated with Narcan — usually given as an emergency measure for narcotic overdoses.
She was scheduled to perform in Atlantic City later this week.

Reports said the incident took place at her home and that paramedics found Lovato unconscious when they arrived there.
Oh no. 😥 Seeing reports that #DemiLovato was transported from a home in the Hollywood Hills earlier today in what sources are saying is a heroin overdose. I've never wanted a story on TMZ to be more untrue than this one. Love Demi and hope she's OK! Stunned right now.

Last month, Lovato sang of a relapse in the song “Sober,” which seemed to be aimed at her mother, expressing that she was sorry for not being sober anymore.
