The years come and go, but innovation never dies. With ever-promising technology, partnerships, experienced leadership and a little bit of funding, these startups are on a pathway of success. Be sure to keep your eye out, because this won’t be the last you hear from them.

HackerOne: Paying hackers to do good, not evil

This startup is located in San Fransisco, and their mission sits right when you log into their site “Powered by the intelligence of trusted security researchers and ethical hackers from around the world, HackerOne solutions are designed to help companies and government agencies discover critical security vulnerabilities before they can be criminally exploited.” It has attracted some big names to the platform including Snapchat Uber, and the Pentagon. With a 40 million dollar investment, led by Dragoneer Investment Group, they are more than prepared for whats to come.

Orig3n: DNA Made Easy

By getting a cheek swab, the company provides customers with a DNA analysis that is meant to help people make informed choices about their health. With the rise of Ancestry and 23andme, this Boston based startup is destined for success. It’s expanded beyond the ancestry sector and into beauty, health and fitness. With this relatively low-cost science being accessible to many, in 2017, the Boston-based biomedical research company raised a $20 million round led by Hatteras Venture Partners to grow their business to the next level.

Slack: The optional work-chat.

Although Slack came out in 2014 this year Slack was on the rise! 77 percent of Fortune 100 companies use Slack. There’s a reason it’s working. Slack feeds into the multitasking mentality, allowing workers to communicate efficiently, while keeping conversations in neat, easy-to-access folders. Most importantly- this tool is free. With Slack valuing over 5 billion dollars, the company was attracting interest from technology giants, including Amazon.
