The Japanese House Announces Debut Album

Indie pop artist Amber Bain, or better known for her musical projects under the moniker The Japanese House, has announced the release of her debut album Good At Falling through Dirty Hit on March 1st.

The record was was produced by Bain, BJ Burton, and George Daniel, member of The 1975. Part of the record was recorded in a cabin owned by Justin Vernon, aka Bon Iver. 

The album’s first single “Lilo”, was released last September, but Bain told NME that it wasn’t the song she felt the most comfortable with but the song that was the most emotive and heart breaking to her.

Bain followed the first single with “Follow My Girl” in November and “Maybe You’re the Reason” this past January. 

Good At Falling follows Bain’s previous EPs Pools To Bathe In (2015), Clean (2015), Swim Against The Tide (2016), and Saw You In A Dream (2017).

“I Saw You In A Dream” is the most streamed track from her latest EP.

The Japanese House wrapped up the North American touring this past December, Bain will be performing in Europe this spring.
