This North Dakota Student’s Marriage Proposal is Pretty Adorable
Gavin Becker proposed to his longtime girlfriend in a most amazing way recently.
The University of North Dakota aviation student took his (now finance) for a flight over a frozen lake in Minnesota where — with the help of his family and a snow blower — a marriage proposal was etched in the snow.
Ed Becker, Gavin’s father, told KARE 11 that it took about 4½ hours to create the 25-foot-tall (7.5-meter-tall) letters and a huge heart.
Could you say no to this?
Becker and his fiancé, Olivia Toft, are both from Minnesota, where they met in high school.
Becker asked Toft to the high school prom by painting a series of rocks with a message along the lines of “Olivia, You Rock… Prom?” so he knew he needed to take his game to the next level for a marriage proposal.
His Dad told KARE 11 that the family was all in to help, and that Gavin’s sister and her boyfriend volunteered to lay in the middle of the heart holding hands.
And yes. She said yes. All this has such a nice, um, ring to it:
