Track Review: TML ‘Tensor’

DJ TML returns to the music scene and is set to release his fourth EP Tensor on January 25th. Following his last EP I Need An Exit, the Minneapolis native released the track “Cell ID (Alden Tyrell Remix)”, which is the perfect track for letting loose, finding freedom, and having a little bit of fun.

The moment the song begins to play, my head starts bobbing, while envisioning the turn tables and laughter in an imaginary club. As always, TML never disappoints as he creates and produces phenomenal beats. This track reminds me of “I Heard You Say (Hey, Hey)” by Dennis Ferrer, but with a twist. The twist is the collaboration between different instruments. The strong bass line, raw drums, fast tempo, and frequent pauses form a unique blend, creating anticipation towards the rest of the track.// His sense of creativity goes outside of the box -setting/ him apart from other DJs in the music industry.

TML seems to be very particular when selecting and mixing various beats, especially on “Cell ID (Alden Tyrell Remix)” because each beat flows so well together. Every time TML releases an EP, it turns into an epic masterpiece. This single is a true testament to the magic of the creative process. By blending different sounds into one, TML paints with a freeform musical canvas, without putting limitations on himself.

Since 2017, TML continues to make a name himself in the techno and club scenes with remarkable beats. He lets his music speak for itself, drawing people in and pushing them to question “what is techno?” TML, unveiling his mask, and broadens the horizons of techno music with this expressive track./
