YouTube Suspends Ads on Logan Paul’s Channel After Dead Rat Tasing

Earlier this year, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki informed the public that YouTube will be more keen on enforcing their policies and punishing creators who impact the community as a whole. YouTube showed that they were serious about implementing consequences after YouTube creator Logan Paul uploaded a video of him shooting a taser at a dead rat. YouTube responded by suspending ads on Paul’s channel.

“After careful consideration, we have decided to temporarily suspend ads on Logan Paul’s YouTube channels,” a YouTube spokesperson said in a statement to The Verge. “This is not a decision we made lightly, however, we believe he has exhibited a pattern of behavior in his videos that makes his channel not only unsuitable for advertisers but also potentially damaging to the broader creator community.”

While Logan Paul has a large following of nearly 17 million subscribers, YouTube was not shy about making an example of Paul on Twitter.

With such a large following, it is no surprise that there are people who are both for and against YouTube’s decision to suspend ads on Logan Paul’s channel.

Others feel that ad suspension is not enough and that Paul’s channels should be removed altogether.

This is not the first time YouTuber Logan Paul has been the focus of attention due to his controversial videos. Paul had previously uploaded a video taken at the Suicide Forest in Japan. This prompted YouTube to look into further consequences for Paul.
