A Rescue Chihuahua Gave Birth to 11 Puppies on National Puppy Day

We’re really glad this isn’t fake news, but it seems too amazing to be true.

A chihuahua that had survived a harsh hoarding situation gave birth to 11 puppies on National Puppy Day last week, surprising its foster owners and the rescue group that saved her.

“One came out, one more came out – two, three and four more came out,” Josie Brown, who is fostering the puppies, told Fox 8. “She was still round and obviously there were more puppies in there.”

The mother, named Laugh out Loud (LOL), was giving birth for nearly 12 hours and officials at the Unleashed Rescue Group, who rescued her when she was obviously very, very pregnant, believe the 11 puppies are a world record.

The best news: all the little ones are healthy.

“When we had about eight, we were like whoa she’s not done,” said Danielle Reno of Unleashed Pet Rescue. “And then we got an update that we were at 10 and we about had a heart attack.”

The little ones should be ready for adoption in about 10 days or so.

We dropped two mixtapes in six months. And we take the news very seriously.
