Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson Respond to Trolls

In the past week, fans were rocked by the news that Ariana Grande and Mac Miller had parted ways after 2 years together. The couple separated shortly after Coachella. Some fans did not take the news well and took to Twitter to express their disappointment. One fan’s tweets got a lot of attention

One of the 30,000 retweets got retweeted on Ariana’s timeline and she responded by educating the fan. She told him that she is “not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to to be.” She was expressed her continued long and support for Mac Miller but said she could no longer be in a toxic relationship.

After this response, rumors circulated that Pete Davidson of SNL and Ariana Grande were dating. Some fans brought up the fact that Pete has a borderline personality disorder and that somehow made him undateable. Pete took to Instagram to respond to those trolls.

His response is important but should not have been needed. People with mental illness are capable of having healthy lifelong relationships. It is sad that this man felt the need to defend the illness that he and many others have to deal with.

Both Ariana and Pete handled these trolls with grace and great composure. The elegantly got their point across while simultaneously defending themselves and educating others. Whether or not they are together has yet to be confirmed but if they are together, Congrats to them. Two people who can clap back at the trolls with such power deserve to be happy together.
