‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Has Been Saved By NBC

Fans of the hit TV show ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ had a whirlwind of a week after FOX announced that they would be the canceling the beloved show, but then a day later NBC announced that they would be picking it up and renewing it for a sixth season. The chairman of NBC Entertainment Robert Greenblatt expressed his happiness of the decision, saying, “ever since we sold this show to Fox I’ve regretted letting it get away, and it’s high time it came back to its rightful home.” NBC had originally passed on the show when it was created, and FOX picked it up.

After the news of ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s’ cancellation first broke out, fans across social media had a lot to say. Many tried to convince Netflix and Hulu to pick up the show like they have done for other shows that faced untimely cancellations on regular television, but both passed on the opportunity. Now that it’s been renewed by NBC, however, social media is blowing up again, but with positive reactions this time.

‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s’ fifth and final season with FOX will be wrapping up on May 20th, and the sixth season with NBC is planned to be released during the 2018-2019 TV season.
