CMN Vibes: Electronic Music’s Underground

Electronic music is huge. From Darude’s “Sandstorm,” to Daft Punk’s “One More Time,” mainstream acceptance has existed since the rise of synthesizers during the 70’s and 80s. However, many artists lie beyond the grip of House music, Tiesto, and EDM. 

Have you heard Futurepop, the coldly melodic offspring of Industrial and Trance? How about Acid Techno, which ruled raves in the 90’s? Surely you’ve heard of Synthwave, and it’s rise of neo-80’s fervor? If not, here are some tracks you might find interesting from those, and other, electronic genres that lie below the surface.
