CMN Vibes: Joy

Between Hurricane Florence and the current political climate, things have been feeling pretty gloomy lately. This week’s playlist is full of sunshine, but doesn’t shy away from the harsh realities of life.

Thundercat’s “Them Changes,” is a breakup song disguised with maximum-funk bass, “UGH!” by the 1975 grapples with substance abuse over a cheery pop beat. This week’s artists affirm that regardless of our struggle, there is always a reason to smile.

CMN Vibes: Joy 🌞 is inspired by the freedom of racing around in your first car with the windows down and the music up. It’s proven that music can release dopamine and serotonin levels, and who doesn’t need more of those?

Diversify your playlist with this mix that ranges from harmonic rock songs, to chiller than chill psychedelic jams, to a rap song that samples “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”’s “Pure Imagination.”

We encourage you to brighten your day, and pass on the love (and tunes) to others. Happy listening!
