Ethiopian Airlines Jet Crashes, No Survivors on Boeing 737

On March 10th, an Ethiopian Airlines jet crashed shortly after its take-off from Addis Ababa the capital of Ethiopia, which was supposed to land in Nairobi, Kenya.

It was reported that all 149 passengers, and eight crew members did not survive the crash. Amongst the victims, it has been reported that 32 Kenyans, 18 Canadians, 8 Americans and 7 British nationals were tragically killed.

The cause of this incident is not clear, with investigations still fluid.  Flightradar24 reported that the plane’s “vertical speed was unstable after take-off”, but overall the flight path was clear. However, a plane of the same model was involved in a crash five months ago, when a Lion Air flight crashed into the sea near Indonesia with nearly 190 people on board.

Prime Minister of Ethiopia released a statement via. Twitter, stating his condolences.
