Gaga Gets Political With Attacks on Pence

Continuing the trend a musicians making statements about political figures, Lady Gaga made comments on the current U.S. political leadership during a show in Las Vegas earlier this month.

Gaga attacked Vice President Mike Pence and his Christian values, stating they are “the worst representation of what it means to be Christian.”

Her comments were a reference to Karen Pence, who will return to teaching art classes at Immanuel Christian School in Virginia, an institute which excludes LGBT students and parents.

Gaga has been a strong advocate for the LGBT community, openly stating she is bisexual. She added that she is a Christian woman and in her view of the faith, “everybody is welcome. So you can take all that disgrace and you can look yourself in the mirror and you’ll find it right there.”
