George H.W. Bush Hospitalized in Intensive Care Unit

Just days after the death of wife, Barbara Bush, former president George H.W. Bush has been hospitalized with sepsis, the infection of the blood-stream.

“President Bush was admitted to the Houston Methodist Hospital yesterday morning after contracting an infection that spread to his blood,” Spokesman Jim McGrath said in a statement. “He is responding to treatments and appears to be recovering. We will issue additional updates as events warrant.”

Bush, who is 93 years old seemed in good spirits and health at his wife’s funeral on Saturday with many photos showing his gratitude.

Bush has had a public struggle with a form of Parkinson’s disease, leaving him in a wheelchair. With his age, and condition- this could potentially be critical.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
