If you only go to one festival in 2019, it should be… Coachella

What should be expected from one of the best music festivals of the year? Should it be the venues passion for music? Or what the experience and atmosphere is like? Coachella brings all of this and more as they celebrate their 20th anniversary from April 12-21, 2019. From the array of music and food to different activities and art, Coachella provides a safe and enjoyable space for everyone.

The 2019 Coachella lineup includes some of the biggest artists in the music industry. This includes Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, Kid Cudi, Ariana Grande, Zedd, the 1975,  Diplo, and Khalid. Also making an appearance are some stars in the making like Juice WRLD, Blood Orange and Playboi Carti. From hip-hop and alternative to indie and rock, there is an artist that everyone at the festival can enjoy. At this time, most other festivals haven’t released their lineup yet, and are still trying to finalize their list.

Not only is the music at Coachella one of the best in the nation, but has been voted as one of the best food festivals by the LA Times. With 15 curated restaurants from around the country under one tent, an “outstanding” food truck offering a family-style dining option and various pop-up restaurants away from the noise of the festival. They also provide vegan and vegetarian food options to appease all diet types.

Coachella also has a collection of over 30,000 types of vinyl and albums to browse through on their Record Store Day. Looking for something new to add to your closest? In Coachella’s vintage market you can shop from a wide variety of upcycled/recycled clothing, jewelry and much more. Some of these items are handmade while others are more notable brands.

All of the aspects that make Coachella unique are going to be on full display this year, from multiple food vendors to a unique app called Coachella Coin that lets the users collect coins to redeem prizes while at the festival. They will be celebrating 20 years of hosting the music festival and there has been speculation of big performances from the featuring artists, as well as some surprise guests that they haven’t released yet.

I have never been to Coachella but it’s on my bucket list of festivals to attend, as well as Rolling Loud and Lollapalooza. Coachella brings a unique vibe and atmosphere to the environment, making sure that all people in attendance feel welcome and enjoy their time there. The variety of music is also a huge bonus because there is an artist on the lineup that almost everyone can enjoy. If you want to get amped up, go watch Wiz Khalifa and Sheck Wes, if you want to relax and mellow out, listen to Kid Cudi and Tame Impala. Coachella is a destination that is loved and adored by celebrities and music lovers around the world. It’s a household name and continues to satisfy their fans year after year.
