If you only go to one festival in 2019, it should be… Coachella

Editor’s Note: As part of our ongoing Music Journalism Course, our music team was asked to choose from 10 U.S. music festivals and make a case for the best of 2019.

In 2018, Beyonce stepped on the Coachella stage with such poise and delivers an outstanding performance. She not only surprised the audience with a Destiny’s Child reunion by singing alongside Kelly and Michelle, but also danced nonstop for hours. Beyonce always sets the bar high so I can only imagine how incredible Coachella will be this year.

Ella Mai, H.E.R., Janelle Monáe, Ariana Grande and Solange are all set to preform. Thousands of people are expected to attend.

What sets Coachella apart from the other music festivals?

It offers on-site camping, weather that allows for summer clothing, art installations, and loads of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Coachella returns to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California for two weekends: April 12-14 and April 19-21.

Coachella remains one of the biggest music events because many people get the opportunity to see their favorite artists perform, hear new music, have a great time with family and friends, and create as well as cherish those moments forever.

Coachella is definitely a place for enormous music lovers. If people want their souls to be filled with happiness, inspiration, joy, and encouragement, then I would recommend that people go to Coachella this year. You are able to live in the moment, you can express yourself by rocking the latest fashion trends, and the most exciting part is anticipating the surprise guests.

Coachella is known for allowing artists to bring those who have collaborated on some of their biggest hits. I have a feeling that this year’s artists will not only give mind-blowing performances, but create lasting memories that people will cherish forever.
