Fyre Festival’s Bill McFarland Is Writing a Memoir

Billy McFarland, the scamming mastermind behind the famous Fyre Festival, is now writing a memoir about the festival — from prison. With the working title Promythus: The God of Fyre, McFarland will document his career up until the aftermath of the festival. Jay Willis writes for GQ, “The most fascinating aspect of New York [Magazine‘s] story is how McFarland still seems to believe that he is a misunderstood creative genius, not a serial liar who owes some $26 million in restitution to those he defrauded.”
