IHOP Offering Sweet National Pancake Day Deal

Free pancakes are good. Pancakes for a good cause, even better.

IHOP’s pretty much invented National Pancake Day — pretty smart, right? — and Tuesday is the 13th edition of this popular event. Going from 7 am, to 7 pm, most IHOP restaurants are offering free short stacks (three pancakes).

It’s a dine-in only deal and there is a limit of one short stack per person while supplies last. The short stack is normally $5.79.

There is a little catch, but it’s cool.

While the food is free, IHOP is promoting a “make every stack count” effort, asking customers to charity partners, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Shriners Hospitals for Children.

“At IHOP, we think doing good is delicious,” IHOP president Darren Rebelez said in a statement. “Every stack of pancakes we serve on our signature day counts toward helping our charity partners improve the health and lives of millions of children and families across the country.”

Even really poor college students should go along with that logic. Pass the syrup.

We dropped two mixtapes in six months. And we take the news very seriously.
