Smith’s Company To Donate Water To Flint

Flint, Michigan has been without safe drinking water since 2014. Will and Jaden Smith are helping to combat this environmental crisis. Their eco-friendly company, JUST, is promising to donate clean water to public schools every month until lead levels return to EPA-approved limits. JUST has already sent 9,200 drinkable water bottles to Flint.

JUST was founded by the celebrity father-son duo in 2015. Michigan Live reports, the company provides a green alternative to plastic bottles and invests in communities like Glen Falls, New York – the city where the water comes from. JUST’s packaging is crafted from almost all renewable resources, its bottles are 82 percent plant-based.

The Environmental Protection Agency discovered the city’s lead levels to be far above the federal limit due to its corroded water pipes and dangerously polluted water levels.

Today, Flint’s government supplies water distribution stations for those who do not have access to clean water.
