Stormy Daniels ‘Set up’ in Police Sting Operations

Adult film star Stormy Daniels, famously known for a scandal involving President Trump and his attorney, Micheal Cohen, was arrested on Thursday for touching an audience member while performing at a strip club in Columbus, Ohio. The audience member turned out to be an undercover police officer, part of a larger sting operation being conducted by Columbus police.

Stormy was charged with three misdemeanors, and was released on $6,000 bail later that day. Her attorney stated that she was “set up,” calling this an “absurd use of law enforcement resources.” He tweeted several screenshots that were “very pro-Trump” from the Facebook page of one of the officers in the sting, demonstrating that this operation was possibly directed at Stormy.

Within several hours, charges were dropped against Stormy Daniels, as the prohibition against touching audience members at a strip club only applies to those who perform regularly. Accordingly, this was Stormy’s first time performing at Sirens in Columbus. Police Chief Kim Jacobs reported to AP, “A mistake was made, and I accept full responsibility.”
