Connecticut Student Arrested After Alleged Snapchat Threats To Kill High School Students
A 23-year-old Connecticut college student has been released from police custody Wednesday after allegedly having threatened to kill high school students whom he had a disagreement with on Snapchat.
According to the police, Nicholas Graham, an undergraduate student at the Southern Connecticut State University, reportedly issued menacing threats to three high school students at Fairfield Ludlowe High School that promised to “find them and kill them, and all of their friends.” Graham is said to have formerly attended the high school.
Upon receiving numerous 911 alerts from alarmed parents and students, the Fairfield police arrived at the university’s campus late Tuesday afternoon where Graham resides. Graham was detained by campus public safety officers in his dormitory and subsequently entrusted to the Fairfield officers without incident.
The Fairfield Police’s Twitter account confirmed that Graham was temporarily in the department’s custody early Wednesday morning.

The police have also stated that Graham denied having any intentions of following through with his threats as they were only momentarily fueled by the emotions he felt at that point in time.
Fairfield Ludlowe High School administrators took to Twitter Tuesday night to reassure their students that police officers will be patrolling the school’s perimeters to ensure the safety of the students.
FLHS is aware that an individual was causing concern among our students because of some social media posts. The individual is in police custody and there is NOT a perceived threat to FLHS or any FPS school. @FPDCT will be an increased presence as reassurance.

Graham was charged with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening and second-degree harassment with an initial bail set at $20,000.
At Graham’s court hearing on Wednesday, February 28th, a Bridgeport Superior Court judge reduced Graham’s bail by half to $10,000. The judge also implemented a restraining order against Graham, ordering him to remain at least 100 yards away from the school’s grounds. Graham was released after his family posted bail on his behalf.
Graham has had a history of prior institutionalizations for being suicidal and is presently seeking psychiatric treatment from a professional, as revealed by his lawyer at court Wednesday.
