The Beastie Boys Book is Finally Coming Out and It’s (Literally) Huge

Get your pre-orders in, Beastie Boys fanatics, the band’s long-awaited memoir is complete and it’s can be yours starting October 30. Surviving members Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz and  Michael “Mike D” Diamond announced today that The Beastie Boys book is complete and will be hitting stores this fall.

According to information on the band’s official merchandise site:

With a style as distinctive and eclectic as a Beastie Boys album, Beastie Boys Book upends the typical music memoir. Alongside the band narrative you will find rare photos, original illustrations, a cookbook by chef Roy Choi, a graphic novel, a map of Beastie Boys’ New York, mixtape playlists, pieces by guest contributors, and many more surprises.

The book won’t be a light read, either, weighing in at a hefty 592 pages.

Consequence of Sound reports there will be guest contributions from Spike Jonze, Wes Anderson, Amy Poehler, and other surprises. And no matter what those turn out to be, it sounds like an entertaining read and fitting tribute to the late Adam “MCA” Yauch, who died from cancer at the age of 47 in 2012.

Rest in Power, MCA and read on, Beastie fans. We’ll be ready for the B-Boy Bouillabaisse for sure.
