The Internet is Freaking Out Over Kim Kardashian’s Doppelgänger

It’s not uncommon for celebrities to have look-a-likes. Remember when the Internet freaked out over the resemblances between celeb-BFFs Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift? Or when conspiracies began that Avril Lavigne was replaced by fan-lookalike Melissa Vandella? While sometimes it might seem like a stretch, this week’s dopplegänger sighting was unquestionable.

No, you’re not seeing double. On April 6, Jennifer Janelle Ward, a contestant on Lifetime’s ‘Glam Masters’ recreated Kim Kardashian’s bold look from her KKW x Maria Launch Party, complete with deep blue eyeshadow and perfectly glossed lips. The look was noticed by Kim Kardashian-West herself, as she retweeted with approving ‘OMG’.

“It’s truly an honor to even be recognized by Kim!” Ward explains. “I was so shocked by the amount of people that said that we look so much alike, and I just happened to have a similar dress and thought, why not emulate her for the whole makeup look?”

If you’re eager to recreate the look yourself, Ward put together a step-by-step tutorial of products she used to achieve Kim’s sultry and effortless look.

Ward is a contestant on Lifetime’s ‘Glam Masters’, produced by Kim Kardashian-West. In addition to being a beauty guru and social media influencer, Ward is a spokesperson for epilepsy awareness and anti-bullying campaigns, using her platform to inspire and make a social impact.

“I hope that I can show artists that are just starting out or wondering where to begin…that it’s possible and you’ve just got to be passionate and never stop educating yourself,” says Ward.

As she began her makeup career, Ward remembers going to stores such as Ross and the 99 cent store to buy inexpensive makeup in bulk in order to practice and recreate looks from her favorite makeup artists. Now, as a beauty influencer, Ward has 97,000 followers on her Instagram account, where she posts her latest cosmetic creations.

Anything is possible if you have the drive to push yourself out of your comfort zone to create something extraordinary. Follow Ward’s journey on Instagram here to see what celebrity look she’ll recreate next!
