Women Accuse Morgan Freeman of Harassment and Inappropriate Behavior

Actor, Morgan Freeman is currently facing numerous sexual harassment and misconduct allegations, according to a new report.

According to reports swirling on CNN, women who have worked on some of his films have come forward to claim that he committed various sexually inappropriate acts against them, such as trying to lift one production assistants skirt repeatedly.

CNN reported that incident as “Freeman kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear.” He never successfully lifted her skirt, she said — he would touch it and try to lift it, she would move away, and then he’d try again. Eventually, she said, “Alan [Arkin] made a comment telling him to stop. Morgan got freaked out and didn’t know what to say.”

The news outlet further reported that it had 16 people testify against Freeman, with eight of whom detailed personal incidents in sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior. Some of those people were sources for this investigation while others declined to comment further on their report to CNN.

Freeman released a statement in response to the CNN report. “Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy…I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent.”
