Woman’s Death in Uber Starts #WhatsMyName Campaign
After 21-year-old Samantha Josephson was killed last month after getting into a car that she thought was her Uber, her family is telling everyone to ask one very important question: What’s my name? Because it could be the difference between life and death. Uber and Lyft have both pledged to implement new security measures as a result of the USC student’s death.

Redacted Mueller Report Released
The over 400-page Mueller Report was released yesterday and there’s a lot to unpack. Let’s start with some numbers: The Mueller Report included 2,800 subpoenas, 500 witnesses, 6 guilty pleas, 34 indictments, over 900 redactions, and 500 search warrants. Overall the report explored ways that the president could have obstructed justice but neither indicted nor exonerated him of anything. Although we new a lot about the report already, there were a few surprises. And TBD on what the Dems will do next.

RIP Jerrie Cobb, the First U.S. Female Astronaut Candidate
Jodie Cobb, the first woman to pass astronaut testing, has died at the age of 88. Cobb became part of the Mercury 13, the 13 women who qualified to be astronauts after enduring strenuous physical testing but never got the opportunity to see space. In 1962, Cobb famously testified before Congress about the discrimination female astronaut candidates faced.

Sen. MCConnell to Introduce Law Raising Minimum Smoking Age
The Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will be introducing a bill in May to raise the tobacco buying age from 18 to 21. McConnell hopes that this measure will receive bipartisan support to help curb the rise in teen vaping.
