President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un are both in Singapore this morning, poised for a historic summit meeting mainly focused on nuclear disarmament and economic sanctions. The meeting begins in about 12 hours.

Trump arrives at the summit with typical turmoil swirling around him: He retracted his signing of an agreement at the G7 summit and blasted Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeauwhile he got blasted by Robert DeNiro at the Tony Awards.

For his part, Trump says he’ll know if the summit will be successful “within the first minute,” while Kim hopes to “establish a new relationship” with the U.S. Finally, Fox News anchor Abby Huntsman had to apologize for what she called Trump yesterday.

Goodbye Net Neutrality 😢

Obama-era net neutrality laws were passed to regulate internet service providers, ensuring that all internet traffic got the same treatment. Those laws end today, following a repeal led by FCC Chairman Ajit Pai.

According to The Week, “without net neutrality, critics warn, giant corporations like Verizon and Comcast can throttle traffic to sites they don’t own or partner with, or give customers who pay more better connections to services like Netflix.”

Actor Jackson Odell, 20, Found Dead

Actor Jackson Odell has passed away. His family confirmed his death in a statement to media yesterday.

Odell, who may best be known for his role as Ari Caldwell on the ABC series “The Goldbergs” or his role on Nickelodeon’s “iCarly.” Odell also had credits on “The Fosters,” and “Modern Family.” He also starred in the 2011 film “Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer.”

CMN Weekend Editor Arianna Lynne has more in her report. We also remember Anthony Bourdain and Danny Kirwan.
