Abandoned Puppy Found Written On in Permanent Marker

A puppy was found left along in a cage in Ohio on Friday, with the words “FREE” and “GOOD HOME ONLY” written on her fur in permanent marker.

Jenn Thomas found the abandoned puppy and took to Facebook to share the injustice done, hoping to spread awareness about animal abuse.

“THIS is not acceptable. THIS is why we run around trying to scoop up puppies before they end up in homes that can’t take care of them, won’t get them fixed, tie them to a dog box, or worse. THIS is why we are SUCH advocates to the point of annoyance with spay/neuter,” Thomas wrote.

Thomas took the puppy to the Ross County Humane Society, where she was given the name ‘Marvella’ and is now being taken care of.

Just an update on Marvella… the story of how she came to Ross County Humane Society has been shared nearly 6k times…
