Samantha Bee Apologizes on ‘Full Frontal’ for Inappropriate Comments
Last night, comedian Samantha Bee apologized for her comments about President Trump’s daughter on her TBS show, ‘Full Frontal.’ Bee has been under fire for calling Ivanka Trump by a “feckless c*nt,” which was considered by critics to be disrespectful and uncalled for.
In her apology, Bee stated that she “crossed the line,” and “regrets it.” She stated that the phrase which was deemed inappropriate has been used many times on her show, but Bee realized that it can be “hurtful to some women.” Bee did fire back and her critics by noting that the controversy created an unnecessary distraction from real issues, including the separation of immigrant children from their mothers.
CMN’s Senior Editor Carla Loebenstein attended the taping of this show last night at CBS Studios in New York. Prior to the taping, producers and stage managers begged the audience not to speak with reporters, who were waiting outside the show to receive comment on Bee’s apology. They stated that they wanted the apology to “come from the heart,” and that it “should not be spoiled by press leaks.” Bee made a personal comment to the audience that she is thankful for her supporters, especially the executives at TBS who did not cancel her show.

The students received these unique gifts from Unequal Technologies, a local sportswear company which carries the shields. The company’s CEO, Robert Vito, has a daughter who attends the school.
Vito reported to the press “It’s sad the times have called for such a product to be invented, but we have answered the call.”

Diplomats in China Are Getting Mysteriously Ill
The State Department has started to evacuate American diplomats from the consulate in Guangzhou, China after several reports that they have experienced mysterious symptoms after hearing odd noises.
The Washington Post reports, “After initial screenings by a medical team dispatched last month when the first incident was reported, the State Department has sent ‘a number’ of affected people to the United States for further evaluation, State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said.”
What started as symptoms from one diplomat a few weeks back has been experienced by several more in the last few days. Just last year, at least 24 diplomats and their families in Havana, Cuba experienced similar symptoms that the State Department believed were targeted attacks.

The NBA finals are becoming absolutely meme-worthy. Last night, the Warriors had a great victory led by Kevin Durant, but Steph Curry seems a little *too* enthusiastic.
