Mueller Report to Be Released This Morning
The Justice Department’s redacted version of the special counsel Robert Mueller’s report is set to be released Thursday morning, but not before Attorney General William Barr is scheduled to hold a press conference discussing the report. CNN reports, “The Justice Department said Barr’s press conference will be held at the department at 9:30 a.m. ET on Thursday, and President Donald Trump on Wednesday floated the possibility that he too would hold a press conference after Barr. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who appointed Mueller in May 2017, will be in attendance as well.” The release of the report and Barr’s press conference come almost a month after the special counsel investigation concluded and will have relatively few redactions in the obstruction of justice section according to a source familiar with the report.

Conservatives Take Back Alberta in Provincial Elections
Conservatives are back in legislative control of Alberta in Canada as the new center-right to right-wing United Conservative Party (UCP) defeated the social democratic progressive New Democratic Party (NDP) in the provincial elections on Tuesday, April 16. The UCP, led by former federal Member of Parliament Jason Kenney, won 63 seats while the Alberta affiliated NDP, lead by Premier Rachel A. Notley, won 24 seats in the province’s Legislative Assembly based in the provincial capital city of Edmonton. Read more in Duane Paul Murphy’s report for CMN.

‘Time’ Releases List of 100 Most Influential People
Time has published its annual list of the 100 most influential people of 2019—and it has a few surprises. The list’s big shout outs go to Sandra Oh, Dwayne Johnson, Nancy Pelosi, Taylor Swift, and Mohamed Salah. Time‘s list is unique because it enlists people who know the subject personally, often celebrities themselves, to photograph and write about them. That’s how you get Celine Dion writing about Lady Gaga, Elizabeth Warren writing about AOC, and Leonardo DiCaprio writing about Jane Goodall. Other notables from the list include Donald Trump, William Barr, Robert Mueller—are you sensing a theme?—Pope Francis, Brett Kavanaugh, and the woman who accused him of sexual assault Christine Blasey Ford.

The Golden State Warriors: Fluke game or panic mode?
The Warriors were in the drivers seat the entire game, then the Clippers brought out the humor stick and repeatedly wailed on the Warriors, causing them to blow a 31 point lead and lose 135-131. So naturally, social media is reliving the Warriors blowing a 3-1 series lead in the 2015-16 NBA Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers. How blasphemous, yet wildly amusing is this?
