President Trump and Kim Jong Un to Meet Tomorrow
President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will meet tomorrow in Hanoi for their second summit to discuss international security, i.e., Kim’s nuclear program. On the eve of their meeting, Kim arrived in Hanoi and spent some time in the city, greeted by crowds of cheering citizens and journalists, local and visiting. TBD on what will happen at the meeting.

Australian Cardinal Faces 50-Year Sentence for Abuse
Details of the trial of Australian Cardinal George Pell were made public today. In December, the cardinal, who is also the pope’s chief financial advisor, was charged with sexual abuse of two choirboys. He will face sentencing on Thursday and could receive a maximum sentence of 50 years.

House to Vote on Trump’s National Emergency
House Democrats will likely win a vote today to revoke the president’s national emergency declaration, which is allowing him to fund a border fence on the U.S.-Mexico border. After passing the House, the bill has a slight chance of passing the GOP-controlled Senate, but President Trump will likely veto the legislation if it makes its way to the White House.

Patriots Owner Faced with Soliciting Prostitution Charges
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is facing charges of soliciting prostitution, the event of which occurred at a spa in Florida hours before the Patriots played in the AFC Championship Game. CNN reports, “The 77-year-old billionaire is among 25 people charged with soliciting another to commit prostitution, State Attorney for Palm Beach County Dave Aronberg said Monday.” Kraft’s charges came from a months-long investigation into sex trafficking that looked into several day spas and massage parlors in central Florida suspected of being used for sex work.
