Dallas police officer Amber Guyger was arrested last night, and charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of her unarmed neighbor, Botham Shem Jean. Authorities say Guyger entered Jean’s apartment, thinking it was her own, and eventually shot and killed him.

Though the motive in the shooting remains unclear, Guyger is white and Jean was black, which has stirred speculation of a racial motive. The officer was released after posting $300,000 bond.

Guyger was involved in another shooting last year, in which she shot a suspect who had taken her Taser from her during a struggle.
