Pressure Increases on Saudi Arabia Over Journalist Disappearance

The UK, Germany and France have demanded a credible investigation into the disappearance of missing Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, as international pressure increases for Saudi Arabia to explain his disappearance.

CNN reports, “Khashoggi, a columnist for The Washington Post and Saudi royal insider-turned-critic, went missing after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2 to obtain paperwork that would allow him to marry his Turkish fiancée.”

Khashoggi’s disappearance has prompted international condemnation and President Trump warned of serious retribution if the Saudi’s end up being behind his death. Saudi Arabia has promised to retaliate over any sanctions.
